There once was a turtle from
the bay
All the while he hoped
to run away
But whenever he
tried
His
legs would not glide
That turtle who was
from the bay.
I once met a chum of
wisdom
Every day he
worked on sums
But whenever he
dozed
The papers rose
That chum who was of
wisdom
I especially like the turtle limerick. You understand the "silliness" of limericks - "working on sums" and "papers rose".
